Pakootas better for vets

The 5th district has four candidates running against Cathy McMorris Rodgers for U.S. Congress. Of the six questions she was asked, she voted no three times and uncommitted for two. Other issues she has failed to support concern postal employees, the USPS and veterans.

She is supporting a bill that would privatize the VA hospitals. We all know how well privatizing services has worked out. As with other legislative action, there would most likely be no oversight or self-monitoring of the privately owned service.

I for one have received excellent care at the VA hospital. I say “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I will vote for Joe Pakootas.
