Spokane Club

welcomes new chef

Aaron Crumbaugh is the new executive chef at the Spokane Club.

He replaces Mark Miskiewicz, who started the job last July. Crumbaugh, 37, took over earlier this month and has been redoing menus to make them “more creative and current.” He also said he plans to host monthly events called Chefs Night PNW, featuring collaboration dinners and other food-related events.

“I’m loving the new job – working with a lot of great people and can’t wait to change the food culture here,” said Crumbaugh, who appeared on the 12th season of “Food Network Star” earlier this year.

Crumbaugh has also appeared twice on Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen” and worked as a chef at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, where he had a food truck and catering company. More recently, he worked for Thompson River Ranch in northwest Montana and helped organize the first Chefs Week PNW with chef Jeremy Hansen at the old Washington Cracker Co. building.

Originally from Michigan, Crumbaugh moved to Spokane to be closer to his wife’s family. Hayden Kristianson is from Chewelah. The couple appeared on the sixth season of the CBS reality show “The Amazing Race” while they were dating. He proposed during the finale.

Spokane Club is a private, membership organization with athletic, dining and other amenities in downtown Spokane and Spokane Valley. Call (509) 838-8511.
