By Treva Lind Correspondent

Tailwind Physical Therapy in Spokane has scheduled construction of a 7,200-square-foot, two-story medical structure.

The site is on the northwest corner of 28th Avenue and Grand Boulevard. Yost Gallagher Construction, of Spokane, is the contractor for the estimated $1 million project.

Tailwind owner Jeff Royter said the building will be one block north of the practice’s current location on Grand. Construction was scheduled to start last Thursday, and the building should be ready in November for the practice to move into the main floor.

Tailwind has eight employees, including Royter as a physical therapist.

A second floor with about 2,700 square feet will be available for lease.

The practice’s space is designed with a therapy pool that has an underwater treadmill, a big exercise room with equipment, a canine therapy area with a separate canine therapy pool, two offices and six treatment rooms.
