Bicyclist killed by pickup truck in north Spokane identified

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman struck and killed by a pickup truck while riding a bike Wednesday afternoon as Grace K. Gremillion, 26.

Gremillion also used the surname Petrelli-Silva, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. She died of a traumatic neck injury when she was struck at about 1 p.m. on West Wellesley Avenue near North Whitehouse Street.

Witnesses said Gremillion was riding on the sidewalk and fell in front of the truck. Police said the driver of the truck stopped immediately and was not charged with a crime. The Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the crash accidental.
