Forget Trump; vote smart

The Republican Party doesn’t plan to win this election. They don’t want their label on the economic and environmental problems they know are coming in the next four years, so they selected Donald Trump and gave him the job of alienating just about every group of voters and instilling fear and paranoia.

As a result, most voters don’t see him as presidential material. He would lose in a landslide to Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian or the produce manager at your store.

The boys on Wall Street like things just fine the way they are, and don’t want to see any changes. Let the grandkids fend for themselves. They support Hillary Clinton, who they don’t believe will rock the boat or change current policies, and they’re probably right.

Bernie Sanders is aware of the problems we face. He addresses them at every opportunity and would make every effort to turn things around. Knowing this, the media (see Wall Street) has marginalized his campaign from the get-go and minimized his coverage. Clinton and Trump have both refused to debate him, for some strange reason.

Whether we like it or not, there are some very challenging problems coming down the road at us, and turning our backs won’t be effective. Don’t worry about Trump, and vote smart.
