Trump doesn’t respect office

In my opinion, Trump has no respect for the office he is seeking, the president of the United States of America. This office is the most internationally important, the most prestigious, the most powerful position on our planet.

Nevertheless, Trump continually makes racist remarks about people and nations on national TV. He lambastes men and women in elected positions as though he thinks it is acceptable behavior for the presumptive nominee of the highest office of the land. He has developed lying into an art form.

Even high-level Republicans are aghast at his conduct. And, of course, Trump is incapable of admitting he has said or done anything wrong. His ego will not permit him to open up to any of his improprieties. If elected (heaven forbid), it makes one wonder how much time he will spend managing his business interests, while shuffling the enormous responsibilities of the presidency.

These are my reasons for denouncing Trump for his disrespect for the office of the president. Why, oh why, should we give him the opportunity to degrade the office of the president and our country?

I was a born a Democrat 82 years ago and am very proud to be one. I will be extremely proud after Hillary takes office in November.
