Limit rapid-fire rifles

As a lifelong gun owner and Vietnam combat infantry veteran, I, and the NRA, recognize that modern rapid-fire assault rifles are only designed to kill other human beings, essentially at fairly short range.

Shotguns and bolt-action rifles have been the logical and completely appropriate hunters’ and marksmen’s choice ever since the Civil War.

It’s ridiculous that rapid-fire weapons with large magazines are available to anyone outside law enforcement and the military.
