Police seek woman who robbed elderly man downtown

Spokane Police are looking for help identifying a woman who assaulted and robbed an elderly man as he withdrew cash from a downtown ATM.

The robbery at the Bank of America in the 600 block of West Riverside Avenue was reported the afternoon of June 15. A 75-year-old man told police that he was withdrawing cash when the woman approached him and asked for money for bus fare, according to a police news release.

The woman pushed him to the ground and forcibly took the money before running away, police said.

The incident was captured on video surveillance. The woman is described as white, about 20 to 30 years old with a medium build and dark brown hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.
