1. Comedian Marc Maron

Maron has a critically acclaimed half-hour scripted series, “Maron,” on IFC. Maron’s podcast, “WTF with Marc Maron,” features compelling monologues and interviews with iconic personalities. He’s also published two books and released several stand-up specials.

When: 7:30 p.m. Thursday; 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. July 8-9

2. Spokane Indians baseball

Sure, there are lots of places to check out fireworks on Independence Day. (Check out our round up on Page CX.) But how many are preceded by America’s pastime? The Spokane Indians kick off homestand with the Boise Hawks on Monday, and the game will be followed by the annual fireworks show. The Boise series continues through July 8.

When: 6:30 p.m. Monday, followed by the fireworks show about 10 p.m. The homestand continues nightly at 6:30 p.m. through July 8.

3. ‘Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story’

Relive the greatest moments in Buddy’s short, but explosive career. Witness the tender romance between Buddy and his wife, Maria Elena, and his tumultuous friendship with the Crickets. Sing along with timeless hits such as “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be The Day,” “Everyday” and more. Debut production from Spokane Valley Summer Theatre.

4. Goo Goo Dolls with Collective Soul and Tribe Society

“Iris,” “Name” and “Slide,” “Shine,” “Heavy” and “December,” all in one concert? Oh, yeah. Hitmakers Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul are on the road together, joined by Tribe Society, in a tour that lands on the outdoor stage at Northern Quest next week.

5. ‘From New York, Bagels & Baklava Meets Spokane for Comedy’

6. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Long-running Cleveland-based hip-hop group, who just released the song, “Coming Home,” about the Cleveland Cavaliers, are on the road and will hit Spokane this weekend.

7. Blitzen Trapper
