Bonner County sex crime fugitive found in Hawaii

Former Bonner County resident Stephen R. Reiling has been arrested after four years on the run from charges of lewd conduct with a minor.

In 2011 Reiling was charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16. A $1 million warrant for his arrest was issued in June 2012 after Reiling failed to appear at his trial. Police have been searching for him ever since.

Reiling was recently arrested on local charges in Hawaii using the name Ken Starr, according to a Bonner County Sheriff’s Office press release. Police there identified Reiling using his fingerprints. He is currently in a Hawaiian jail awaiting extradition to Idaho.
