Letters: Enough already with the overexposed Zags

Enough already with the overexposed Zags

I know that I will burst many people’s bubble and the local media’s, too, but hello, there are some of us who live in Spokane who don’t care one bit about Gonzaga basketball. It seems as soon that there is the slightest whisper of the season starting, that is all people start talking about.

To me, that is one of the worst things about living in Spokane in the winter and having to deal with the appointed gods of Spokane. You can’t open the newspaper, or watch the news or any other media form with hearing about how wonderful they are and that they are picked to win the WCC championship. Duh. What do they expect when they are in one of the weakest athletic conferences in the nation?

Now that they have won both of the first two rounds, they are not only all over the sports page, but on the front page as well. To me, this is nothing more than a big case of overkill
