Peggy was born in Valier, Montana at the ranch home of her maternal grand parents.

Her grandmother, the area midwife, assisted at the birth.

The family resided in Valier and Great Falls later moving to Kalispell, Montana; she attended school there, graduating from Flathead County High School.

A gift from her grandmother of a nurses kit birthed her a firm determination to peruse a career in nursing - which she did graduating from Sacred Heart School of Nursing.

During her employment at Sacred Heart she met and married John Hern.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Katie Greig and her husband John Hern.

She is survived by two children, Jon (Beaner) in Helena and his three sons Greig, Casey, and Patrick; a daughter Susan in Spokane and her two daughters, Jamie and Kristin; six great grandchildren: Katie, Michaela, Sadie, Parker, Hurley, and Kinzley.

No services will be held at her request.
