Achievements: Students from Inland Northwest earn academic honors

Students from the Inland Northwest have earned academic honors nationwide for the autumn 2015 semester. Grade-point averages (GPA) are calculated on a 4.0 scale.

Spokane resident Marshall Jolly has been named to the president’s honor roll at Bismarck State College in North Dakota after earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Emily Petersen, of Spokane, has earned a 3.5 GPA or more and was named to the dean’s list at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.

Baylor University in Waco, Texas has named the following Spokane residents to the dean’s list for achieving a minimum GPA of 3.7 for the semester: Stephanie Endicott, Katherine Gibson, Brian Hafferkamp, Grant Linnell, Anna Lovell and Katherine Lovell.

Iowa State University in Ames has named Kristian Kennedy, of Coeur d’Alene, and Aaron Azevedo, of Spokane, to the dean’s list after earning a GPA of 3.5 or more.

Chattaroy resident Justin Richards has earned a 3.6 GPA or more for the semester and was named to the dean’s list at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Spokane resident Joseph Lyons earned a GPA of 3.5 or more for the semester and has been named to the dean’s honor roll at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The university has also named Spokane resident Natalya Ferch to the president’s honor roll for earning a 3.9 GPA or more for the semester.

Eileen Navratil, of Spokane, was named to the dean’s list at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio, after earning a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Peter Christensen, of Otis Orchards, has earned a 3.5 GPA or more for the semester and was named to the dean’s list at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

Texas A&M University in College Station has named Spokane resident Matthew Curtis to the distinguished student list for earning a GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.

Corinna Rankin, of Colbert, earned a GPA of 3.5 or more and was named to the dean’s list at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee.

Jasmyn Roecks, of Greenacres, earned a GPA of 3.5 or more for the semester and was named to the dean’s list at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.

Luke Petersen has been named to the dean’s list, and received semester honors, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Petersen is a graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School.

Wichita State University in Kansas has named Spokane resident Shelby Snyder to the dean’s list for earning a 3.5 GPA or more.

Coeur d’Alene resident Samantha Helal and Spokane resident Calle Herrmann have been named to the dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for earning a GPA of 3.66 or more.

Montana State University Billings has named Colbert resident Nicholas Niehenke, Edwall resident Joseph Scott and Spokane resident Monica Tripp to the dean’s list after they earned a GPA of 3.5 or more for the semester.

George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon has named several area residents to the dean’s list for achieving a GPA of 3.5 or more during the semester. Students are listed by their hometown.

Colbert: Sydney West.

Colton: Abby Druffel.

Medical Lake: Jonah Pendleton.

Newman Lake: Allison Momb.

Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California, has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or more. Students are listed by hometown.

Deer Park: Alison Ruygrok

Pullman: Jenae Bone, Corey Langerveld.

Spokane: Shale Heidinger, Kendall Rew.
