Barney, 93, passed away Febrary 25, 2016.
He was born on January 6, 1923, to Claude and Elena (Larson) Barnes.
A longtime Kaiser Aluminum employee; he also later owned the Shoreline Motel in Port Orford, Oregon, sold and managed property in the Bend/Redmond area of Oregon and became a part time rental car associate.
Barney enjoyed pinochle at the senior center in Puyallup.
But his true passion was his family.
Besides his parents, Barney was preceded in death by wife Alda Marie (Batson).
He is survived by his son Carter (Marcia), daughter Claudia (Jeff) Pierson; five grandchildren; 7.5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Pines Cemetery, Spokane, Washington on Friday, May 13 at 3PM.
A memorial gathering will be held the following day at the Ft. Sherman Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho at 1pm.
