Obituary: Mceachran, Dennis Brian

Age 77


McEACHRAN, Dennis Brian

Was born on December 24th, 1938, in Great Falls, Montana, to Donald and Bernice McEachran.

In 1939, the family moved to Spokane, Washington, where Dennis lived until he passed away on May 2nd, 2016 in Spokane, WA.


He was raised in Spokane, and attended Wilson Grade School; Lewis and Clark Highschool; Shattuck Military School and the University of Montana, where he studied forestry.

His early adult life was spent working at Burgan’s Furniture, the family business, later entering the insurance business along with other independent ventures, that emphasized customer service.

All who knew him took pleasure in his company and sense of humor, as he was very charismatic and well-liked.
Dennis enjoyed dancing, singing, playing the piano, and had a passion for the outdoors.

He was an accomplished fisherman and hunter, and would use any excuse to be outside.

In his later years he enjoyed visits to Manito Park with his grandchildren.

His children have fond memories of evenings playing cards and board games.
He is survived by his son, Shawn McEachran, daughter Molly Salazar, and her husband Marco; his grandsons Kyle and Mason McEachran, and Jakob and Lucas Salazar; and granddaughters Eva and Olivia Salazar, all from Kirkland, WA.

Also mourning his death are his sister Jane Conlin and her husband Mike, of Tucson, Arizona, as well as his nephew Kelly McEachran and his wife Ann, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and nephew Doug McEachran and his wife Sheri, of Spokane, WA.


Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 10 AM at the Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 West Cleveland Avenue, Spokane, WA 99205.

With a lifelong love for animals, including his beloved Churchill, donations are requested for the Spokane Humane Society.
