Born March 12, 1921 in Juanita, North Dakota to John Henry and Rachel Ellen (Holland) Boeck.
His final mile was May 12, 2016 in Spokane Valley, Washington.
Erling was a farmer, grave-digger, railroader, cowboy, overseas contractor, brick-layer, carpenter and a doughnut connoisseur.
He was a storyteller of the past and truth and his most successful accomplishment was being the World’s Best Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
He is survived by wife Anna Marie Boeck; son Lyle (Carol) Boeck of Spokane Valley, WA; and daughter Carol (Don) Mayfield of California; grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Moore, Jeff Mayfield, Joshua (Tegan) Baldwin, Lori Boeck (Kris Schmidt) and Brittany (Clint) Kingsbury; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Kaban, Aidan, Emilyn, Connor and Autumn.
When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we are far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart.

There will be a graveside service Tuesday, May 17th, 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, WA.
