10 Under $10: Entertainment on a budget

1. World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-noon Sunday, Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St., Spokane Valley. These gentle giants are selected not only for size, but for temperament, as they travel the country to meet millions of people. The team will participate in the annual Lilac Parade in downtown Spokane on Saturday night. There also will be a single horse on Friday at Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, 101 W. Eighth Ave., from 10 a.m.-noon, and at Ronald McDonald House, 1015 W. Fifth Ave. from 1-3 p.m. (509) 954-9093. Admission: FREE

3. Kidical Mass 1 p.m. Saturday, Chief Garry Park, 2701 E. Sinto Ave. Kids and their families are invited to Kidical Mass, a fun, safe bike ride especially for kids. Join this 2.4-mile neighborhood ride on anything that rolls, beginning at Chief Garry Park. There are 75 helmets and 20 bikes that will be given away, plus ice cream and raffles at the end of the ride. (509) 723-2908. Admission: FREE

6. Art for the Park - 125th Anniversary of Coeur d’Alene Park in Browne’s Addition 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Coeur d’Alene Park (Browne’s Addition), 2195 W. Second Ave. Four teams of people, each led by a paid professional artist who has created a design, will paint large-scale art on the street in four intersections around Coeur d’Alene Park. The art creation will be open to the public, with activities in the park. Children from the Southwest Community Center will help direct children’s art activities on the tennis courts – creating their own Art for the Park. (509) 850-0056. Admission: FREE

7. The Lowest Pair album release 8 p.m. Wednesday, the Bartlett, 228 W. Sprague Ave. Americana duo from Olympia and Minneapolis heads out on tour in support of not one, but two new albums: “Fern Girl and Ice Man” and “Uncertain as it is Uneven.” With Prairie War and Dry & Dusty. 10. A Cinematic Tribute to Veterans 1-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, South Hill Library, 3324 S. Perry St. Film historian Lance Rhoades discusses Hollywood’s long-running relationship with war efforts, including the great number of actors who served.
