Snoqualmie Pass shutdowns planned next week

Tribune News Service

Rock blasting will close Snoqualmie Pass for an hour at 7:30 p.m. three nights next week.

The Washington state Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 at 7:30 p.m. for about an hour Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. During rock-blasting closures, eastbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 62 near the Stampede Pass interchange.

Drivers will also experience delays Monday through Friday during the day and at night through multiple work zones from milepost 56 near Hyak to milepost 93 near Elk Heights.

Drivers headed eastbound across the Vantage Bridge will experience delays due to a single lane closure, which is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Crews are busy repainting the bridge between mileposts 137 to 138.

Drivers are encouraged to check http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/i90/whatshappening for specific daily impacts and locations.
