David Bowman has been named as the dean of Eastern Washington University’s College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, effective Aug. 1. Bowman currently serves as the interim dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, as well as a professor of geophysics, at California State University in Fullerton.

Finance

John L. Rogers has joined ACRAnet, Inc. as the mortgage services product manager. Rogers has extensive experience in the mortgage industry and most recently worked in capital markets.

Government

Sam Taylor has been hired as the deputy city administrator for the city of Coeur d’Alene. Taylor was previously the deputy city manager for the city of Morro Bay, California and has more than 10 years of experience in journalism and public administration.

Hospitality

Remington’s at the Ramada at Spokane Airport has received the 2016 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for providing excellent customer service and earning great traveler reviews.

Nonprofit

Carla Altepeter has been named as the board chair for Partnering for Progress. Altepeter is the president and chief executive officer at Numerica Credit Union. She also serves on the board of directors for Second Harvest and Greater Spokane Incorporated board of trustees.

Realty

Tarin O’Day has joined the Cornerstone office of Windermere Real Estate as a broker. Previously, O’Day was with the American Cancer Society in Campbell, California.
