Liberty Lake Police Blotter: Vehicle prowlers strike Liberty Lake again

Business was booming for vehicle prowls in Liberty Lake during the last week of October. In some cases officers discovered suspected vehicle prowls before they were reported and left their business cards on the cars for the owners to find.

Several of the prowls were discovered and reported on Saturday. One was reported in the 500 block of North Garry Drive at 1:56 a.m., another was found by an officer at Valleyway Avenue and McKinzie Road at 2:16 a.m. Another prowled car was spotted in the 100 block of North McKinzie Road at 2:38 a.m. A fourth call came from the 23000 block of East Broadway Avenue at 3:11 a.m.

Another surge in calls came after dawn on Sunday. A car was prowled in the 1300 block of North Liberty Lake Road, and nearly $16,000 worth of tools and equipment were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 22000 block of East Penrose Road. A trailer in the 22000 block of North Clairmont Lane was also prowled.

Other calls from Oct. 24-31

Oct. 24: A Seahawks flag was reported stolen from the front yard of a home in the 20000 block of East Glenbrook Avenue.

A caller reported a car full of people doing drugs in the 1300 block of North Stanford Lane. An officer determined that the people inside the car were smoking e-cigarette devices.

Oct. 26: A woman reported losing her wallet in the area of the 1200 block of North Lancashire Lane after she drove away with it on top of her car.

Oct. 27: The theft of $42.57 in fuel was reported at a gas station in the 22000 block of East Appleway Avenue.

Oct. 28: A road rage incident was reported at Interstate 90 and Liberty Lake Road.

Oct. 29: The theft of $56.68 in fuel was reported from a gas station in the 22000 block of East Appleway Avenue.

Oct. 30: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 18000 block of East Broadway Avenue. It was a security vehicle.
