Five Zags honored in all-conference men’s soccer selections

Senior defender Jakob Granlund and junior forward Jalen Crisler were selected as first-team members on the All-West Coast Conference men’s soccer team announced Tuesday.

Junior midfielder Christo Michaelson and junior defender Ben White were given honorable mention while defender Davis Behnke was picked to the all-freshman-team squad.

Granlund led Gonzaga in points (14) and assists (six), good for sixth and fourth, respectively, in the West Coast Conference. He also scored four goals.

Crisler had three goals, one assist and seven points. He helped anchor an defense that allowed only 10 shots per game.

The conference player of the year was Portland’s Eddie Sanchez.
