Associated Press

MISSOULA – Montana volleyball coach Brian Doyon has resigned after his teams posted a 13-41 record over the past two seasons.

The school announced his resignation Tuesday.

The Grizzlies went 6-26 in Big Sky Conference play over those two years, including a 2-14 mark this year.

Allison Lawrence, who has been an assistant at Montana since 2010, has been named the interim head coach. She was a finalist when Doyon was hired two years ago. He came to Montana after six seasons as an assistant at Utah.
