Post Falls Police officer Brenda Knight has been charged with a DUI after an off-duty car accident Saturday night near Rathdrum, Idaho.

Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies and medical personnel were dispatched to the area of Boekel Road and Forestdale Drive around 6:25 p.m. Saturday for a possible injury crash, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Knight was cited for excessive DUI, with blood-alcohol levels above 0.20.
