Free horse and carriage rides to begin

Free horse and carriage rides start Friday in downtown Spokane.

Rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays (break from 6 to 7 p.m.) and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays (break from 2 to 3 p.m.) through Dec. 23, as well as noon to 3 p.m. Christmas Eve. Pick up is at 573 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., across from the Looff Carrousel.
