Thursday’s game will be just the second men’s basketball meeting between Mississippi Valley State and Gonzaga.

The Zags opened the 2019-2010 with a 92-74 win over the Delta Devils. Click here for the game story and photos from that game.

Veterans Matt Bouldin, Robert Sacre and Steven Gray combined for 55 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists. Freshman forward Elias Harris made his first five shots from the field and was 6 of 6 at the free-throw line before he missed a shot with 16:30 left in the second half. He finished with 18 points and seven boards in 19 minutes.

It’s been a rough start for MVSU this season as well. The Delta Devils have dropped their first seven games, including an 85-52 loss to Indiana last Saturday.

The Bulldogs are 8-0 all-time against current SWAC members, with the latest matchup from Texas Southern on Dec. 15, 2014, a 94-54 win for the Zags.
