Age Wave forum in Spokane draws legislative candidates

A legislative candidate forum focused on aging issues is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at the Southside Senior and Community Center.

The free Age Wave Candidate Forum, at 3151 E. 27th Ave., will offer the chance to hear from candidates. People also will learn more about aging policies and the state’s readiness to meet the needs of a growing number of older adults.

The forum will include a brief presentation from policy advocates and local seniors along with family members, followed by a moderated discussion with legislative candidates and audience questions.

Candidates from the 3rd, 4th, and 6th legislative districts are expected to attend. The forum is being held by Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington in partnership with AARP, the Washington State Senior Citizens’ Lobby, and the Washington Association of Area Agencies on Aging.
