North Central boys first, girls second in latest cross country rankings

The North Central boys cross country team continued to be ranking No. 1 atop 3A in the coaches rankings released Sunday.

The surprise continues to be the North Central girls, led by freshman twins Erinn and Mia Hill. The Indians are ranked second with Mt. Spokane 10th. Edmonds-Woodway is first.

In 4A, the Central Valley boys are second behind Tahoma and Lewis and Clark is sixth. In the girls, Lewis and Clark is second behind state power Camas and CV is ninth.

In 2A, the Pullman girls and boys are ranked fourth and ninth respectively while the West Valley boys are eighth.

In 1A, the defending state champ Deer Park boys are first, Riverside is second, Lakeside is fifth and Medical Lake is sixth. In the girls, Riverside is second behind Northwest, Deer Park is third, Lakeside is fifth and Colville is sixth.

In 2B/1B boys, Asotin, Northwest Christian and St. George’s are ranked second, third and fourth while NWC, Asotin and Reardan are third, fourth and fifth in the girls.
