EWU receives NSF teaching grant for STEM training

Eastern Washington University was awarded a National Science Foundation grant to fund improvements to their STEM teacher-training programs on Tuesday.

The $3-million grant will be distributed between seven Washington universities and colleges, according to a news release. The seven will collaborate on the project to “anticipate and identify the needs and challenges future teachers will face and provide effective support for those teachers.”

The grant will be funded over a four-year period.
