Why Washington State will beat UCLA on Saturday

PULLMAN – For the third consecutive week, Washington State (3-2, 2-0 Pac-12) will take on a program with prestige, a recent history of success, many highly ranked recruits, and not much else going for it.

UCLA (3-3, 1-2) could be without it starting quarterback in Saturday’s game, and whoever is behind center will have to deal with the tempest that is currently descending on the Pacific Northwest. The Cougars actually seem fairly well prepared for the wind and rain with their newfound ground-and-pound ground game.

The Bruins, however, have had one of the worst offensive lines in the country through the first half of the season, and the running backs have had little impact. For those reasons, I think the Cougars handle the Bruins and stay undefeated in conference play.

The pick: WSU, 28-10
