McDonald’s workers and diners stop stabbing suspect

McDonald’s employees and customers pinned a stabbing suspect to the floor Sunday afternoon until police arrived.

A man using the restroom at the 2211 W. Wellesley Ave. restaurant was stabbed with a knife but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Police suspect 53-year-old Darrell E. McDuffee stabbed the man at about 3:15 p.m.

The victim said he didn’t know McDuffee and called for help. That’s when employees and customers arrived to help and call police.
