Volleyball: WSU loses third straight; Huskies alone in first after sweep of Colorado

The 13th-ranked Washington State women’s volleyball team dropped a five-set match to No. 21 Utah in Pullman on Sunday.

The Cougars (15-5, 5-3 Pac-12) lost 25-22, 23-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-9 to the Utes (14-5, 5-3).

WSU has lost three straight Pac-12 matches after winning their first five in conference.

Kyra Holt had 21 kills and 13 digs for WSU, her sixth double-double this season.

Courtney Schwan had 15 kills and Crissy Jones 11 as both hit over .500 in No. 7 Washington’s 25-12, 25-16, 25-21 victory over Colorado (11-7, 3-5 Pac-12). The Huskies (16-2, 6-2) won their fifth straight match and are alone in first place, a game ahead of seven other teams.
