Gonzaga is No. 13 in the USA Today men’s basketball preseason poll.

The Zags, 28-8 last season, picked up 371 points in the coaches’ poll, trailing No. 12 Indiana’s 435 and just in front of No. 14 Louisville’s 367. Saint Mary’s, co-West Coast Conference champions with Gonzaga last season, is No. 19.

Arizona, which faces Gonzaga on Dec. 3 in Los Angeles, is No. 11. The Wildcats are the only ranked foe on GU’s schedule. San Diego State (at GU on Nov. 14) and Washington (at GU on Dec. 7) are receiving votes.

The Zags will face Florida or Seton Hall, both receiving votes, in the second round of the Advocare Invitational on Nov. 25 in Orlando. Iowa State and Miami, two teams also in the receiving votes category, are potential opponents on Nov. 27.

Duke was picked No. 1 with 27 first-place votes. Kansas landed at No. 2, followed by Villanova, Kentucky and Oregon. The Ducks snagged one first-place vote. North Carolina, Virginia, Xavier, Michigan State and Wisconsin round out the top 10. View the full preseason poll here.
