Man arrested in Otis Orchards for allegedly stabbing his uncle
An argument between a man and his uncle reportedly turned into a stabbing early Thursday morning in Otis Orchards.
Marlon E. Laffoon, 25, has been booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of first-degree domestic violence assault and residential burglary.
Deputies were called to the 4700 block of North Genoa just after 6 a.m. Thursday for a reported stabbing. Laffoon fled before they arrived and his uncle was taken to the hospital with a deep cut to his forearm, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Mark Gregory.
At some point during the argument Laffoon allegedly forced his way into a room where his uncle was, Gregory said.
As deputies were searching the area around the home they received a call reporting a man behaving oddly behind St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 4521 N. Arden Road. Laffoon was arrested at the church without incident.
