The Dirt: Pinecroft Business Park in Spokane Valley continues to grow

Two buildings are underway in Spokane Valley’s Pinecroft Business Park, one a large office building and the other for food services or a restaurant.

The two buildings, both at 12709 E. Mirabeau Parkway, have an estimated construction value of $1.5 million. Divcon Inc., of Spokane Valley, is the contractor for the project that’s just west of a recently constructed building for tech company Next IT.

PayTrace Inc., a payment processing company, will lease a 10,000-square-foot area in the new office building, which has a remaining 12,500 square feet of space available for lease.

Pinecroft also is seeking a deli, food service or restaurant for the secondary 5,000-square-foot structure, said Jamie Traeger, of JMA Commercial Real Estate. The business park has more than 2,000 employees overall and needs a centrally located option for meals, she said.

Most of the construction should be complete by January. Interior work for PayTrace is expected to wrap up by spring, when the company plans to move from its smaller Pinecroft quarters.

Retail building to include bank branch

An Umpqua Bank branch will anchor a retail building under construction at the northeast corner of Division Street and Hawthorne Road, near Whitworth University.

The 5,200-square-foot retail strip, located at 10406 N. Division St., is designed to hold two to three businesses.

Vandervert Construction, of Spokane, expects to complete the $874,000 project in December.

Visit Spokane now at Wells Fargo Building

The destination marketing organization moved from the Spokane Regional Business Center at 801 W. Riverside Ave. to gain larger and more flexible space, a news release said.

Its kiosks in River Park Square and at Spokane International Airport will remain at those sites.

Building planned for security company

Playfair Commerce Park LLC plans to construct a retail and wholesale facility in Spokane for a security device company.

Baker Construction & Development, of Spokane, is the contractor for the $425,000 project, located at 2610 E. Ferry Ave.
