FBI seeks suspected bank robber

Police and the FBI are searching for a man they believe attempted to rob the Bank of America branch at 501 W. Appleway Ave. in Coeur d’Alene Wednesday morning.

A man entered the bank around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday and passed a note to a teller demanding money, according to a news release from the FBI’s North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force. The man left before police arrived and no weapon was seen.

The suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Alex Wesley Jenkins. He is described as white, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has lived in the Post Falls and Moyie Springs areas.
