Orgill Inc., a distributor of hardware and home-improvement products, said it will open a regional distribution center in the former Kimball Office facility in Post Falls.

The company agreed to buy the nearly 500,000-square-foot property at 1881 W. Seltice Way in a deal that was scheduled to close Sept. 1. The property and building were listed at $14.5 million.

Orgill plans to retrofit the facility and expects it to be operational by March 31, a news release said.

The Post Falls site, Orgill’s seventh distribution center, will serve customers in five Northwest states in addition to Canadian clients. The company distributes products to hardware, home-improvement and building material retailers across the U.S. and in more than 60 countries.
