Guy and Ruby LaRue celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a reception on Aug. 27 in Nine Mile Falls.

Hosts for the event included their children and spouses: Steve and Eva LaRue, Donna LaRue, and Angela and Alan Purdy, all of Nine Mile Falls; Clifford and Brenda LaRue, of Reardan; Deborah LaRue, of Spokane; Diania and Tim Bieber, of Spokane Valley; and Ron McDonald, of Newman Lake.

The couple were married Aug. 29, 1946, in Coeur d’Alene. They have 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.
