10 Under $10: Entertainment on a budget

1. “For the Love of Spock” Saturday, doors at 10 a.m., screening at 11 a.m., the Garland Theater, 924 W. Garland Ave. Documentary by Adam Nimoy about his father, the legendary Leonard Nimoy, best known for playing Spock on “Star Trek.” This film will be in limited release in September, and this fundraising event is the only screening in the Inland Northwest. One dollar from each ticket will go to Operation: Dog Tag, a local organization that trains and provides service dogs to wounded veterans. (509) 315-5854. Admission: $7

2. Buffalo Jones 7:30 p.m. Friday, Big Dipper, 171 S. Washington St. Spokane four-piece rock band kicked off the year in Seattle, opening for Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. On Friday, they’re headlining a show in Spokane with Massy Ferguson and Danny Newcomb and the Sugarmakers. (509) 863-8098. Admission: $7-$10

3. Ages and Ages 8 p.m. Friday, the Bartlett, 228 W. Sprague Ave. Portland-based pop quintet is on the road in support of the brand new album, “Something to Ruin,” with opener Chris Pureka. (509) 747-2174. Admission: $10

4. Fetch: SCRAPS Amazing Race around Riverfront Park 10 a.m. Saturday, Riverfront Park, 507 N. Howard St. You can walk with or without your pet to find clues to the treasure. 5. Art in Bloom 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh Ave. Art, quilt and flower show featuring floral designs inspired by juried and award-winning quilts and fiber artwork. There will be a silent auction, wine for purchase and guided garden tours. Art in Bloom benefits the historic Moore-Turner Heritage Gardens. 6. Spokane Braves vs. Nelson Leafs 7 p.m. Saturday, Eagles Ice-A-Rena, 6321 N. Addison Road. Watch the Braves in their 44th year in the KIJHL Junior B Hockey League. 7. Yoga at Wallace Brewing 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 610 Bank St., Wallace. Beer drinking begins after yoga wraps up. It’s best to arrive by 5:15 p.m. to give everyone a chance to check in and find a spot. 8. Fine Arts Faculty Focus Continues through Sept. 17, hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Mondays-Saturdays, and with extended hours to 7 p.m. Thursdays, WSU Museum of Art, Wilson Road, across from Martin Stadium. This retrospective exhibit represents a long-term inquiry into systems of order, patterning and spiritual or esoteric ideas by retired faculty member Chris Watts. (509) 335-1910. Admission: FREE
