Long dean’s lists

In the interest of saving printable space in the newspaper, wouldn’t it be preferable to list only area college students’ names who did not make a dean’s or honors list or achieve a certain GPA? This group would seem to be the more exclusive in terms of numbers.

I understand I may be dating myself, but I recall a time when a high school had only one valedictorian and salutatorian each, and only 1 percent to 2 percent achieved near perfect GPAs.
