2. “Roman Myth and Mythmaking” Continues through Sept. 17, Jundt Art Museum, Gonzaga University, 200 E. Desmet Ave. This special, temporary exhibition examines how the ancient Romans constructed and spread their religious and cultural beliefs as seen through mostly small-scale objects they created and used on a daily basis. 4. 10th Annual George Washington Bluegrass FestivalContinues through Sunday, George Community Hall, 403 W. Montmorency, George, Wash. Weeklong festival kicks into high gear with live, on-stage performances on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. Instrument and vocal workshops are also offered, for free. Featured bands are Bertha & the Combinations, Farmstrong, Heartbreak Pass, the Moses Willey Band, Roosevelt Road, Rusty Hinges and The Weavils. Food available for purchase. 6. Tacocat 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Bartlett, 228 W. Sprague Ave. Seattle-based four-piece plays “post post punk pop pop,” a blend they describ as “Go-Go’s meets The Monkees. Includes a reading of the “Mudgy & Millie” story and book signing by author Susan Nipp, a special appearance by Mudgy Moose and Millie Mouse, a sing-along of the “Mudgy & Millie Song” and birthday cake. 10. PARK(ing) it on Sherman - (Better) Block Party 4-9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 1200 block of Sherman Avenue (between 12th and 13th streets), Coeur d’Alene. Parking spaces will be turned into public spaces for a block party as part of global Park(ing) Day. This second annual event is part of the visioning and master planning effort to revitalize East Sherman. Event highlights include music, an outdoor movie, live mural painting, a pop-up town hall meeting and other entertainment.
