Dump truck rolls on Grant County highway

By Jefferson Robbins Wenatchee World

QUINCY – Two Quincy men operating a dump truck were injured Friday when the driver veered to avoid slowed traffic and rolled the truck onto its roof.

Raymond L. Stuhlmiller, 84, and passenger David K. Stuhlmiller, 54, were traveling south on Highway 281 about 10:15 a.m. when Raymond braked and swerved to avoid vehicles ahead that had slowed down. The 1992 Ford dump truck spun, crossed the northbound lane and rolled, coming to rest on its top in a ditch.

Both men were treated at Quincy Valley Medical Center, where their conditions weren’t available Friday afternoon. State Patrol troopers said the elder Stuhlmiller would be cited for following too closely.
