Support Planned Parenthood

I am writing to thank Mr. Kirlin for his March 14 letter. He has made it very clear about his views on women’s rights. He feels that abortion is not a choice. I disagree. It has been decided in the Supreme Court that it is a woman’s right to choose. I respect that Mr. Kirlin thinks it’s a crime, and I suggest that if he ever is pregnant to definitely not choose abortion.

Furthermore it is very enlightening to read that he thinks that contraception is also immoral. This man would like to see us in the kitchen: barefoot, pregnant with no way out. I encourage all to support Planned Parenthood, which is fighting to make abortion less and less common by providing education, contraception and encouragement for women to take responsibility for their reproductive life. This means children will come into this world loved and cared for.
