Justin Harrer slugs homer but WSU loses at Cal
Justin Harrer slugged hits first homer of the season but Washington State dropped a 9-5 decision to Cal in Berkeley, California, on Sunday.
The Bears (12-13, 4-5 Pac-12) collected 13 hits off the Cougars (14-11, 1-5) and led 7-0 heading into the eighth. WSU scored twice in the eighth and three times in the ninth.
Harrer had two hits and three RBIs. Starter Cody Anderson (3-2) went three innings in getting the loss, giving up four runs, two earned.
