Spokane Chiefs’ forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan named to Hockey Canada’s U18 roster; Ty Smith invited to training camp

Hockey Canada announced on Monday that Spokane Chiefs forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan is one of six players to make Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 roster for the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation U18 World Championship, while defenseman Ty Smith was invited as an underage player to participate in training camp.

The team is undergoing a pretournament camp in Etobicoke, Ontario before taking off for pretournament games in Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia. The tournament is April 13-23 in Slovakia.

Anderson-Dolan, 17, scored 76 points (39 goals, 37 assists) in 72 games for the Chiefs this season. He has international experience on Canada’s U17 team.

Smith, 17, had the most points among Spokane defensemen with 32 points (five goals, 27 assists). The Westminster, Alberta, native has international stints with Canada’s U16 and U17 teams.
