MLS roundup: Sporting KC breaks out for 3 goals, cruises against Colorado

Seth Sinovic had a goal and an assist in Sporting Kansas City’s 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Sunday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

Sinovic put Sporting (2-0-3) on the board in the sixth minute. After Dominic Dwyer’s attempt was saved by goalkeeper Tim Howard, Sinovic corralled the ricochet and hammered the goal home.

Gerso Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 58th minute, and Dwyer connected on the 85th.

Kevin Doyle scored on a late penalty kick for the Rapids (1-2-1).

Orlando City 1, New York 0: Servando Carrasco scored on a header in the 34th minute and Orlando City held on to beat the Red Bulls in Orlando, Florida.

Carrasco headed in a well-placed corner kick by Will Johnson. The goal was Carrasco’s first since joining Orlando City (3-1-0) in 2015. The Red Bulls dropped to 2-3-1.
