Every dog has its day, right?

That will never be more true than on Aug. 26, which officially is National Dog Day.

We’ll celebrate by gathering photos of the best dogs in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area and showing off to the world. While we won’t be awarding Best in Show, we’ll take our favorite reader-submitted canine candids and run them in print on the Today cover for National Dog Day.

Is your canine the top dog? Upload a photo of your pooch via www.spokesman.com/reader-photos/your-pet-photos-national-dog-day/.
