Spokane County home sales slow during July

Spokane County’s hot residential real estate market cooled slightly in July.

The Spokane Association of Realtors reported that 757 single-family homes on less than 1 acre sold last month.

Spokane County home sales set a monthly record in June, with 944 properties trading hands. Though the number of sales dipped in July, homes sales for the month were still 6.5 percent above the sales volume for July 2016.

The median sales price was $217,000 in July, compared to $208,000 a year ago.

The average sales price was $235,241 in July, compared to $222,938 in July 2016.

Inventories of homes for sale remain tight. The Spokane Association of Realtors reported 1,977 homes for sale, which is down 6.5 percent from a year ago.
