For just two shows, the lives of a famous singer, a rebellious painter and a police chief determined to capture the painter will intertwine in a deadly struggle on the Opera Coeur d’Alene stage in a production of Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca.”

“Tosca” stars Jill Gardner in the title role, Jake Gardner as Scarpia, Roger Honeywell as Cavaradossi, Valerian Ruminski as Sacristan, Brandon Michael as Spoletta and Josh Vander Plaats as Angelotti and the jailer.

Jill Gardner and Honeywell return to the Opera Coeur d’Alene stage after performing in “La Fanciulla del West” in 2014, and conductor Anthony Barrese returns after conducting “Il Barbiere di Sevilla” last year.

This is the first show at Opera Coeur d’Alene for director Kristen Barrett and Jake Gardner.
