Patrick Nunn received an offer from Washington State in March and six months later, the wide receiver from San Mateo, California, has given a verbal pledge to the only Pac-12 school on his shortlist.

Nunn, a 6-3, 195-pound wideout from Junipero Serra High School, announced his commitment to WSU via Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars were the only Pac-12 program to offer Nunn, but just about every school in the Mountain West Conference showed interest. Nunn listed offers from Wyoming, San Jose State, UNLV, Nevada, Hawaii, Fresno State and New Mexico.

Nunn is a three-star prospect according to most recruiting services. ESPN lists him as an athlete, while Rivals.com and 247sports.com both list him as a receiver.

Nunn plays on both sides of the ball for Serra – as an outside receiver and as a defensive end. He may also take snaps in the wildcat formation for the Padres this year, according to SFGate.com. Nunn’s older brother Leki was a quarterback for Serra and last season was the Peninsula Player of the Year. By committing to WSU, Patrick turned down an opportunity to stay close to home and play with Leki, who’s now at San Jose State.
