All paws will be on deck – well, in the pool – on Sunday. Pet owners can bring Buddy and his friend for a turn in Spokane Valley Mission Pool, after the pool closes Saturday for the season.

For $5, handlers, who must be at least 18 years old, can bring up to two dogs for a dog paddle. There will be two swim sessions. Dogs weighing up to 65 pounds will be allowed in the pool from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Larger dogs will have the pool from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Dogs must be at least 6 months old, be on leash when not swimming and be socialized, according to the Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation news release. They also must be spayed or neutered and have current rabies vaccination with certification to prove it.
